The
eyelids are removed from the bust and spheres are inserted to
show where the eyeballs will be on the final animatronic.
With the sculpting complete, mould making begins and clay walls
are constructed around the halfway point on the bust. The clay
is sealed, and a fibre glass mould is made of the front half,
then the back half to create a rigid mould of the model.
From the mould, a silicone skin is cast. Slicone is used to
give the final piece a 'translucent' look to it and give the
feeling and movement of real skin.
