The slicone skin is trimmed and painted to create a realistic skin tone, complete with minor imperfections and blemishes.
Using several intricate moulds, eyes are created in precise colours to match Dr. Lewis. The 'white' of the eye is cast in an ivory plastic, and the blue iris and veins are replicated on the casting. When complete, clear resin is then used to encapsulate the white of the eye and then polished to a high gloss to create the finished eyeball.

The animatronics which make the eyes and mouth move are created using fibreglass, dental acrylic, brass, aliminium & servo motors. A silicone model of a brain is created which will sit in a cavity in the head, which will allow the doctor to remove the top of the skull and remove the brain to show to an audience. The silicone brain is made by taking a mould from a plastic medical model for accuracy. Final paint touches complete the look of the animatronic head.
